We’re so excited to share some great news!  Helen has been named one of Maine’s 40 Under 40 by Mainebiz! This recognition honors people making a real difference in their communities, and we couldn’t think of anyone who embodies that more than Helen.

Where it all started

Before ReachMyTeach, Helen was a teacher who saw the daily challenges of trying to keep families connected to what was happening in school. She noticed how much stronger students became when communication flowed easily, and how frustrating it could be when it didn’t.

That experience became the foundation for ReachMyTeach. What started as a local idea to help a few schools connect better with families has grown into something that now supports more than 40 districts across Maine, hundreds of schools nationwide, and even schools overseas.

Connection without barriers

At ReachMyTeach, accessibility isn’t an afterthought—it’s built into everything we do. Helen has always believed that every family deserves to be part of their child’s education, no matter what language they speak or what technology they have access to.

That mindset has made a big impact. Our data shows that multilingual families using ReachMyTeach are engaging with their schools at even higher rates than English-speaking families. It’s proof that when communication tools are designed with inclusion in mind, everyone benefits.

Beyond the office

Helen’s passion for supporting families goes far beyond her work here. She also teaches adult English classes through In Her Presence, a nonprofit that empowers immigrant women in Maine. It’s just one more example of her belief that when families are supported, kids thrive.

Why we’re so proud

Helen’s story is a reminder that meaningful change often starts in a single classroom. She saw a problem, built a solution, and stayed focused on people—students, families, and teachers—every step of the way.

We couldn’t be happier to celebrate Helen and this well-deserved honor. Congratulations, Helen! Your work is helping to reshape how schools and families connect, and we’re lucky to be part of it.
